Who writes this nonsense?
Daniel Babineau, born and raised in Atlantic Canada. Halifax is my home, and I love it here. I’m 28 and am just going through life at my own slow pace at the moment.
Why are you doing this?
Well, for starters, I love gaming and technology in general. That was probably very evident already though! I’ve always loved writing and expressing my opinions and thoughts. In my school days, I was always encouraged to get into journalism or just try to write seriously in whatever way I could. The Review Depot is “sort of” my way of doing this even if I never pursued any kind of career in writing. The site is just a little WordPress blog, but people still find their way here and link to the junk I’ve written, so I kind of feel like I’ve accomplished what I’ve set out to do, if even just a little bit.
Genres and platforms of choice?
The gaming platforms I currently use are PC, PSP, and PS3. I have a Gamecube, PS1, and PS2 hiding somewhere as well. Most of my gaming is done on my PC, though a console game can certainly grab my attention when a good one comes along every now and then. Most of the time I’m either playing fighting or racing games, as they are my favourite. RPGs, which was by far my favourite genre as a teenager, are probably a distant third these days.
I honestly don’t do a whole lot, but I have a profound love for Formula 1. I’ve been following the sport since 1997, and my devotion to it has not wavered a bit since then. I’m also a big movie nut. I have quite the collection of films. Many of them I’ve seen several times but enjoy rewatching them anyway, especially the Rocky movies, which happens to be my favourite film series of all time.
There are several ways to reach me. I’m generally available almost all the time, due to my me email being linked to my cell phone (which I also use MSN on when I’m out).
